Wednesday 14th February – Valentines and Recovery Day

Valentine’s Day and a slightly easy timetable for the day to recover from the grass cross country session yesterday.

We kicked off with Yoga to warm up for the first run of the day. This was the second time the group had done this routine and there was definitely some improvement.

The planned run was an easy 60 or 75 minutes, in the morning warmth.

A later breakfast was followed by a lesson on how to effectively use a spiky ball for self massage. If you don’t have one of these bad boys you really are missing out!

There was some free time before and after lunch, then it was a practical session using ladders and slam balls. Something new added to the many different routines over the week of the Training Camp. During the time away from our rooms several of our couples were delivered a special Valentines treat!

Last physical activity of the day was a second run, a nice easy leg turnover. One or two are finding their way around and had a  walk to stretch the legs instead.

Another day draws to a close and some have retired to their rooms for an early night, others have gathered to battle it out at Disco’s Second Quiz whilst waiting for the Hotel Karaoke to begin.
