Pelvis & Pelvic Floor Disorders
Signs that your pelvis and pelvic floor are saying “I need help”:
- Leakage of urine or faeces.
- Feeling of heaviness in your vagina.
- Pain with intercourse, emptying your bladder/bowels.
- Pelvic pain.
- Increased frequency of needing the toilet.
- Constipation.
- Lack of sensation with intercourse/intimacy.
- Limiting fluids before you go out.
- Needing to know where toilets are.
- Post pregnancy perineal tearing/episiotomy.
Common issues that we can help with (not exhaustive!)
- Pelvic floor dysfunction (the muscles can be both weak and too strong)
- Post-natal (It is recommended all post-natal females have a 6 week check up after delivery)
- Post-natal op surgery (for gynaecological, urological or caesarean section) rehabilitation
- Stress urinary incontinence, urge incontinence
- Vaginismus (pain with intercourse, inserting tampons)
- Vulvodynia (pain in the vulva region)
