Tuesday 13th February – A tough Cross Country

Today began with a relaxed breakfast. Then onto the Dynamic warm up on the track.

Now the Cross Country course looks very unassuming, a sandy meander in and out of the pine trees. Do not be underestimating the energy sapping of the route! With a warm up, followed by a 20 minute comfortably hard interval followed by 4 times 5 minutes faster off a 2/3 minute recovery, topped off with a lap cool down – this was a tough tough session!

After lunch it was back to the conference room for a Zoom presentation on Sports Psychology by Leah Barrow. Which was very interesting, especially the context of winning “deep” and winning “shallow”.

This was then followed by a great Pilates half hour led by Celine Blizard

Then to finish off the very busy day it was a second run or a walk along the cliff tops!

Now for our evening meal and possibly hotel bingo!
