Team Blizard Race Report
With so many people recovering from last weekend’s marathon the race report is a little light on the ground this week BUT high in quality.
We really could not split the athletes for this week’s “Run of the Week” so it is a joint 3 way title.
Portugal attendee Laith Flanagan just 7 days after coming 6th in the Iceland marathon was on his travels again this time over to Belfast where he smashed his pb he set there last year to run 2.57hrs!
Coached athlete Kevin Walker was on fine form over in the Birmingham 10k where he not only won his age group and secured his first ever England Masters vest but also broke his pb to stop the clock in an impressive 34.15mins.
Finally, Team Blizard support crew of Coach Tune and Disco travelled to Newcastle to watch Romany Tune take 2nd place lady overall in the Gateshead to Newcastle half marathon in a new personal best time for her!
A little low on numbers but high on quality Team well done and until next week………keep training!
