Team Blizard Race Report
This week’s race report has been subject to the effect of storm “Goretti” with several races being called off or rearranged.
A few still did survive and a massive well done to all those who raced over the last 7 days.
We kick off this week’s report on Saturday where we have a couple of off road events to report from.
Over in Nottingham saw the next round of the North Midland cross country league match where training partner to many of you Tom Shaw put in another sterling performance in the senior men’s event.

The ever popular “Round Sheffield” event also took place on Saturday in slippy under foot conditions and there were simply too many of you running to mention everyone so we are going to say well done to you all!
Many of the community ran in the TEMPLE NEWSAM 10 which again was another off road event and heavy going!

The big race that took place over the weekend was in the sunnier climates of Spain in the Valencia 10k.
This race is quickly becoming the place to go to run fast times and with 2 european 10k record being broken and a host of national record too being smashed that quality filtered all the way down in the field.
First to mention running a lifetime personal best was former “work experience” boy Cam Reilly who ran a very impressive 29.34mins.
Doncaster 10k winner and long time supporter of the clinic Danny James again put in another quality performance to take his lifetime 10k personal best a little lower.

However, each week we award a “Run of the Week” title and this week it goes to coached athlete in Alice Fearn who stopped the clock in a very impressive 35.00mins and earn herself a brand new personal best and this week’s RotW!

Many thanks to everyone who sent in their results and another big weekend coming up next week so until then…….keep training!
