This week’s race report continues where last week’s left off with so many fine performances from the TeamBlizard athletes.
Kicking off the weekend on the softer surface of cross country saw both the West and South Yorkshire cross country league matches.
With too many athletes to mention as so many of you ran in these events and enjoyed the mud it is just easier to say well done everyone!
Staying with the off-road theme saw this year’s offering of the Sprout Scuttle run over the lovely Rossington Hall grounds.

Same distance difference venue as we head over to Telford for the super fast race that was being used as the England championships and Master’s qualifying race. Former work experience boy Cameron Reilly smashed his personal best stopping the clock in an impressive 32mins, while it was great to see Blizard athlete Tom Halloway running a new personal best and putting a nightmare two years of illness behind him. Super vet Eric Winstone made the long trip from Peterborough worth while as he came an excellent 4th in the V70 race and fingers crossed may still get his call up in the age group representative match.

However, “RUN OF THE WEEK” goes to Caistor athlete Tracey Fearn who finished an excellent 3rd place in her age group and thus guaranteeing her first ever England Age Group representation vest next year.
A truly great set of results across a wide range of events and surfaces was had and we are finishing the year off in style.
Until next week….keeeeeeeeeeep training folks!
