APPI Clinical Pilates Instructor Soft Tissue Massage Therapist
Celine has been working at the clinic as Pilates instructor since 2016. Celine’s Pilates qualifications are centred around the clinical approach to Pilates having initially gained a Modern Pilates MatWork Level 3 in March 2016 and then certification with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI) in October 2018. APPI is unique in that it is the ONLY Pilates program fully designed, taught and developed by Physiotherapists. This means you can trust you are choosing a reputable and thorough instructor. You can read more about the APPI approach here https://appihealthgroup.com/about/about-us/
Celine initially qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 2002 and worked in high profile food manufacturing until the call of her first love became too great to ignore. She began practising Pilates herself back in 2008 following the birth of her daughter and after feeling the benefits for herself she was hooked on this uniquely precise and intelligent approach to exercise and body conditioning.
During the Covid Lockdown of 2020, Celine was looking for something to complement and enhance her Pilates teaching and she embarked on the theoretical elements of a Soft Tissue Massage Therapy course to keep her out of trouble!
Celine continually adds to her professional development by regularly attending a variety of classes, workshops and courses for both Pilates and Soft Tissue Therapy.
Celine multi-tasks here at the clinic managing her time between her first passion of teaching Pilates, Soft Tissue Massage Therapy and the need to keep on top of the clinic books (can’t let those accountancy skills become depleted!)
Along with the rest of our team at the clinic, Celine gets a massive buzz and tremendous job satisfaction by helping people feel better. Her “focus on what you CAN do” approach to her work makes for an all round positive experience!
For those of you who know Celine, you’ll know she’s always COLD – three pairs of socks teaching in winter and it’s rare that her arms come out, even in summer! – which makes her passion for swimming and generally messing about in cold lakes somewhat of a surprise!
