Race Report 6th November 2023

Another massive well done to everyone who raced over the weekend and here is a round up of what caught our eye!

 

The first race of this week’s report we went overseas where coached athlete Ruth Muir while enjoying a family holiday entered and only went and won the “Race to the Lighthouse” trail race in Spain and came 4th place overall in the whole thing!

 

 

Staying with the offroad theme Saturday saw the running of the annual Nation Cross Country relays held  in Berry Park, Mansfield.

Each running club had a number of athletes competing over the undulating and muddy grass course and with so many of you running it is impossible to name you all so let’s say a massive well done to all those who raced in what looked like tough conditions and hopefully you will have washed all that mud off by now!

 

Returning to a firmer under foot saw a couple of 10k races take place with an eye catching performance from Rome Doisneau in the Deep Dale Dash taking the V40 win and finishing 2nd place overall in a great time on what is an undulating course.

 

 

However, this week’s “Run of the week” goes to Doncaster athlete Wes Taylor who took the overall win in the Rother Valley 10k race as he is “running” into a great vein of form after coming back from injury.
