Team Blizard Race Report
Kicking off another week of bumper action, where we saw athletes competing up and down the country with a common theme of excellence!
We start the week with the ever-popular No Walk in the Park 5K, at Chesterfield where we saw coached athletes Sarah Sanderson and Matt Taylor both put in excellent performances and run their fastest times on that course which bodes well as they are deep in marathon training mode!
There was another fine performance midweek from athlete Richard Burke ran his fastest ever time in the Higham Hurdle in what is turning into a great 2025 for him.
Alice Fearn made her track debut on Sunday in the Bury 5K, the British Milers club, where she put in a good performance, while further afield in Ireland in the Antrim Half Marathon, Leeds-based athlete Will Sykes put in an excellent performance.
However, this week's Run of the Week goes to another coached athlete in Becky Friar, who was first lady home in the Treeton Bolt trail race and is hitting a great vein of form leading into mid-Cheshire and the Great North Run.
