Team Blizard Race Report Round Up
Well done everyone on what has been another great week of racing over a variety of distances and surfaces up and down the country!
The South Yorkshire road league was the first race of the week to mention with so many of you racing at Ingbirchworth near Barnsley on a new route which so many people seemed to enjoy so well done to you all!
Next up to report from was the Scottish 5k road championships held just outside Edinburgh on Friday evening where brother and sister duo of Freddie Fearn and Alice Fearn both excelled running just shy of their respective personal best times but both placing very highly in this quality race.

Staying with the same distance but this time moving down country to Shrewsbury to the 5k Masters representation match it was great to see Wayne Singleton gain his first ever England Masters vest and well done that man!

Saturday also saw the first round of the Northern league track and field competitions take place and it was a busy afternoon for Seth Kirby as he took part in several events for his club to make a very good day of training and took the track 500 win in the process.
We have two half marathons to mention this week, the first being the Chester half marathon where coached athlete David Butler made a welcome return to racing in hot conditions.

These conditions were matched over in the Manchester half marathon where another coached athlete Aaron Lowery good form continued with a fine run.
Moving down a distance to 10k there were several races over the weekend including the Manchester and Holymoorside 10k where we had several athletes taking place.
The excellently organized Big Green 10k in Scunthorpe saw a bumper field in this popular ever and there were eye catching performances from Callum Ely, Lee Davies, Matt Whitewood, Chris Inman and Tracey Gibson to mention a few from the team who ran very well in the hot conditions.
The final race to mention is the Pontefract 10k road race held over an undulating course.
Training partner to many of you Joe Restell took the V50 win and there were personal best from recent lactate testee Liam Saddler and Matty Bell only a week after running the Leeds marathon!

However, this week's “Run of the Week” goes to Maksims Palciks who not only ran a lifetime personal best but took an incredible 21mins off his previous course record and is just deserved for the hard work he has put into training and with the group these last few months.
Thank you for all the results people have sent in. They really help us to pull them all together and until next week…….keep training!
