Race Report 18th July 2022

Jul 20, 2022
With a bumper Doncaster 5k report at the weekend it means that today’s race report is a little shorter than usual but the action matched the current weather conditions being red hot!
With so many of you racing Park runs over the weekend it is impossible to mention them all so a big well done to all those you raced on Saturday morning.
Kicking this week’s action/report off was another great run from Scarboro’ athlete Rome Doisneau who flew round the York Even Splits 5k to record his 2nd fastest ever 5k and keeping his fine vein of form going since becoming a coached athlete.
Blazing sun greeted the runners in the 10th running of the Caistor Sting in the Tail 10k named due to the tough finishing climb back in the town centre.
Pontfract athlete Susie Hinchcliffe proved that the heat doesn't bother her as she took the V45 title and 6th lady overall with a fine run in tough conditions.
However, “Run of the Week” this time goes to Sheffield/coached athlete in Seth Kirby who finished a fantastic 2nd place over all in the Wharncliffe Woods 10k as his steam roller of fine runs continues.
Another big week ahead for the team with races both mid week and at the weekend so expect more of the same next week.
Until then……keep training!
