Team Blizard Race Report
Well done to everyone who raced over the last week and many thanks to all those who took time to email in your results. It really does help us put the report together.
The action kicked off on Friday under the lights over in York where the Even Splits 5k race took place. Team Blizard was well represented with a fine run leading our guys home was coached athlete Aaron Lowery while there were lifetime new personal bests from Will Sykes and Scarboro athlete Andrew Hopper while soon to be birthday girl Romany Tune produced an excellent last lap to just miss out on her personal best time.

Not content with one race over the weekend saw Andrew Hopper produce another great performance to take 2nd V50 place in the trail Dalby Dash 10k where also we saw a massive course personal best from Richard Burke who continues his great run of fine form and a good run from his team mate Paul Farrell in this popular event.

Trail races are frequent this time of the year and there was an eye-catching performance from Philip Morgan in the Treeton trail race to take his age group victory.
The famous Athens marathon took place on Sunday over a very tough course that is heaped in history of the event and we saw an amazing run from another coached athlete in Rachael McCluskey who not only ran well but managed to run a new personal best time of 3.23hrs and continues the clinic’s best ever set of marathon seasons results.

However, this week’s “Run of the Week” goes to a popular member of the team in Seth Kirby.
Seth first came to the clinic back in 2019 with a personal best time for 5k of over 20 minutes.
He has patiently worked on all aspects of his training as well as being one of the most popular members of our Portugal warm weather training camps for his ability to eat as many puddings as he does per sitting.
On Saturday evening in the super fast Podium 5k Seth stopped the clock in a very impressive 15.50mins now that is some improvement from his original test and fully deserves this week’s title!

Long may the results keep coming in and until next week……keep training!
