Team Blizard Race Report
Once again we celebrate the achievements you all have produced in races up and down the country over the last 7 days.
Kicking the week off we saw several of you run in the latest of the KMRC series in the Butcher’s Dog trail race held over 4 miles.
Both Angela Lally and Sarah Sanderson both were using the race purely as training and both came away with a bottle of wine as a prize which isn’t bad for a training run!
Next race to report from was the super fast Quayside 5k up in Newcastle where he had a great traveling party to make the trip worthwhile with super fast times.
A man in form is Freddie Fearn who was first back for the team quickly followed by dad and son duo of Lee and Lucas Davies both running new personal best times.

The girls were not to be out done by the boy and we saw great runs from Freddie’s sister Alice while long term coached athlete Keri Pearson showed a good turn of speed while entering marathon mode over the short distance.
Resident of Newcastle Romany Tune uses local course knowledge to record her fastest ever 5k time and shows she is shaping up into good form leading into the GNR!
A little nearer home we saw yet another new personal best from Ackworth’s Liam Saddler who really is having a stellar 2025 with another new pb but this time over 10k in the Howden road race.

The Friday night’s Even Splits 5k race on the cycle track over in York proved good hunting ground from another of the Fearn clan in mum Tracey who took the V55 win in a fast time for to show she is in great shape before entering marathon mode ahead of the Valencia marathon in December and it was great to see Sue Crabtree pull a race number on as she helped a friend round to a new pb and sharpen up ahead of her return to Portugal next year!
The final race to mention was the tough Croxby Crawl which took place mid week over in the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Once again there were excellent runs from both coached athlete Dean Thomas and recent lactate test Bing Yan but this week’s “Run of the Week” goes to Cleethorpes athlete Spencer Higgins who took 3rd place overall with one of his best runs ever.

Massive well done to everyone who raced and thank you to everyone who sent in their results as it really does help us pull them all together.
Until next week…….keep training!
