Team Blizard Race Report

Although there was very limited number of races to report from this weekend after a very busy last few weekend’s racing on the trot, there still were some fantastic performances from the guys from our community.

Kicking off this report we head onto the mud for the next round of the Peco cross country league that took place in Roundhay Park Leeds.
Many  of you have used this series to gain strength for future races and we saw some great solid runs from both Will Sykes and Ian Maudsley who both finished very close to each other after negotiating “Hill 60” within the race!
Well done to all who raced it.

May be an image of 3 people, people playing soccer, people playing football and text that says '7 Abbott REACI MARATHON GOUP MEBATHON TOCO R PEAK FASTEST DTBALL AYERS MANCE running NN team 미& - fadecine Me ล NNN NN ruamimng พค. Miooet 風 コ ሲስቁ a A36oe NEOS'

The next race to mention is the rearranged Bolsover 10k that had to be postponed due to bad weather just before christmas.
With so many of you racing it is is impossible to mention everyone but a couple of standout performances can from training partner to many of your Peter Twigg and two North Derbyshire athletes that were using the event as part of a long run as deep in marathon training for both Matt Taylor and Mark Trolley.

The final race to mention and we did say there were not too many this week is the seaside run over 10k at Skegness.

There were age group wins from Philip Morgan who ran one of his fastest time in recent years and another age group win from many of the local running community’s favourite athlete Frankie Thomas!

However, this week’s “Run of the Week” is a family title shared between the Portugal bound family Davies.
Mary Davies and Lee fresh off the plane from Las Vegas did well to get round but also both managed a great time while “Young Wolf” Lucas Davies took his personal best down another notch and between them fully deserve this weeks title!

Massive well done to everyone who raced and until next week……keep training!
