Monday - First Day Fun

It was an early start for our Yoga warm up on the track. With Dave leading the session and Jenny overseeing the correct manoeuvres we all rocked the Warrior routine. 


We all excitedly gathered ready for our first run of the week. Nerves and excitement were evident but once we got going the chatter and banter started and we all got into our stride. The group divided into those going a little shorter and those going further and faster! 

Group 1: Kenya road and back via river bank (6.49miles)

Group. 2/3: Kenya road and back via nature reserve look out and equestrian centre (8.43 miles)


The 2 Tracey’s took tumbles into the mud, both ok but very dirty!

After a shower, breakfast and a little chill time we returned to the track for our first talk from Jenny. 


So many choices at the All Inclusive lunch, lots of fresh meats, fish, vegetables, salads and fruit to chose from, along with a range of hot and cold drinks. A really healthy buffet!

With some free time before the practical session the majority of the group took in the magnificent views from the cliff tops, returning via the expanse of beach. 


Before we knew it, it was time for our first Practical session on the track, working on our feet, core & hips finishing off with some skipping drills.

The drills were a perfect warm up for our second run of the day. 

This run was optional but proved popular - Orange grove and equestrian centre (4.15/ 3.5 miles) 

Shepherding was a highlight of this run, along with a spot of orange collecting!

On to the last part of the day, which includes our days debrief and next day planning. Tomorrow is cross country day! Fun fun fun!

That just leaves us with our camp dinner and evening hotel entertainment, which tonight is the big Music Quiz, Dave thinks he’s got this covered!
